Description

TB-500 5mg research peptide — Canada

“TB-500” is a product name that vendors have applied to two related peptides: thymosin β4, the 43-residue actin-binding peptide found in most mammalian cells, and Ac-LKKTETQ, a seven-residue acetylated piece of it (residues 17–23) that carries the actin-binding motif[1, 3]. The independent report for this 5mg batch assigns the material as TB-4, meaning the full-length peptide. It is one sealed vial of lyophilized powder, supplied for laboratory research only.

Janoshik test report #219841 for TB-500 5 mg: result TB-500 (TB-4), measured content 4.52 mg, purity 99.371%, analysis 20 August 2026
Independent test report #219841 (Janoshik, analysis 20 August 2026) for this TB-500 5 mg batch: 4.52 mg, 99.371%.

The measured content sits below the 5 mg declaration; the report states the number, and we print it as it stands rather than the label value. Purity and identity are separate measurements — see our HPLC vs. mass-spec guide — and the batch number on your label should match the report before use.

What researchers have looked at

  • Endothelial cells and chick aortic arches: the seven-residue actin-binding motif alone matched the whole peptide’s migration and sprouting activity at about 50 nM, and soluble actin blocked it[1].
  • Rat full-thickness wounds: topical or intraperitoneal thymosin β4 raised re-epithelialisation by 42% at day 4 and 61% at day 7 against saline, with more collagen and vessels[2].
  • Rat Achilles transection (2026, n=32): the TB-500 group had higher load to failure and better histology scores than controls at four weeks; adding BPC-157 gave no extra benefit[4].
  • Limits: six months of thymosin β4 in dystrophic mdx mice increased regenerating fibres but did not improve strength, heart function or fibrosis[5]; the human data are small investigational trials of thymosin β4, including a phase I safety study in 84 volunteers, with no approved product anywhere[6]. The fragment is treated as a suspected doping agent in the analytical literature[3].

Storage and handling

  • Store the sealed vial at −20 °C for the long term (the site’s guidance: up to 24 months as dry powder); cool, dry and dark for short periods. Avoid freeze–thaw cycling.
  • Water-soluble. Published rat studies used saline as the vehicle[4]; laboratories also reconstitute with sterile or bacteriostatic water. Solutions keep less well than powder. Protocols are the researcher’s own and are not published here.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy TB-500 5mg in Canada?

Yes. This 5mg vial ships from inside Canada by Canada Post, so there is no customs hold or duty. It is supplied for laboratory research only; neither thymosin β4 nor the TB-500 fragment has an approved product in Canada, the US or the EU.

Which molecule is in this vial: thymosin β4 or the fragment?

The batch report for this listing (Janoshik #219841) labels the result line “TB-500 (TB-4)”, i.e. the laboratory assigned it as thymosin β4. The 7-amino-acid fragment Ac-LKKTETQ (889 Da) that has been found in other TB-500 products (PMID 22962027) is a different molecule; check the mass-spectrometry line on your own batch’s report.

How was this TB-500 batch tested?

Independently, by Janoshik Analytical: HPLC for quantity and purity and mass spectrometry for identity. Report #219841 (analysis 20 August 2026) states 4.52 mg measured content against a 5 mg declaration and 99.371% purity. Match the batch number on your label to the report in the COA library before use.

How should TB-500 5mg be stored?

As sealed lyophilized powder at −20 °C for long-term storage (the site states up to 24 months), or cool, dry and dark for short periods. Once dissolved the peptide is less stable; published rat work used saline as the vehicle (PMID 42542926). No dosing or administration guidance is provided.
