Description

BPC-157 5mg research peptide — Canada

BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide — fifteen amino acids, GEPPPGKPADDAGLV — cut from a larger protein that Sikirić’s group isolated from gastric juice and named Body Protection Compound in 1993[1]. Three decades of work on it are almost all in rats and cell culture; it has no approved form for any use[12]. This listing is one sealed vial of lyophilized powder at a 5mg labelled amount, sold for laboratory research only.

What researchers have looked at

  • Rat Achilles tendon after transection: higher failure load and better functional scores than saline controls; in the same paper the peptide had no direct effect on cultured tendocyte growth[3].
  • Rat tendon fibroblasts in vitro: faster outgrowth from explants, more migration and spreading, higher FAK and paxillin phosphorylation — without a change in proliferation[4]; a later microarray study found growth hormone receptor strongly up-regulated[5].
  • Blood vessels: more vessel formation in the chick CAM assay and endothelial tube assays, faster blood-flow recovery in rat hind-limb ischaemia, and VEGFR2 up-regulation with Akt–eNOS activation in cultured endothelial cells[8].
  • Limits: a 2025 systematic review counted 35 preclinical studies against a single retrospective clinical report and found no clinical safety data[11]; a 2026 review records no completed Phase II trial and a plasma half-life under 30 minutes in animals[12].

Storage and handling

  • Keep the sealed vial at −20 °C for long-term storage (stable up to 24 months as dry powder, per the site’s storage guidance); short-term, cool, dry and dark. Do not cycle it through repeated freeze–thaw.
  • Published rat work dissolved the peptide in plain saline[3]; laboratories also use sterile or bacteriostatic water. Solutions keep less well than powder. Protocols are the researcher’s responsibility and are not published here.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy BPC-157 in Canada?

Yes. Shop Peptides Online stocks BPC-157 5mg as a lyophilized research peptide and ships it from inside Canada by Canada Post, so there is no customs clearance or duty. It is sold for laboratory research only; BPC-157 has no approved formulation for any use, and no completed Phase II trial exists (PMID 42198317).

How is the BPC-157 batch verified?

Each batch is sent to an independent laboratory. The site’s stated policy is HPLC for purity and mass spectrometry for identity; the report is filed in the COA library under the batch number on the label. For this 5 mg listing the current report is Janoshik test report #172065 (analysis date 18 June 2026): measured content 5.42 mg per vial, purity 99.582%. Match your vial’s batch number to the report before use.

How should BPC-157 be stored?

As lyophilized powder, at −20 °C for long-term storage (the site states stability of up to 24 months), or cool, dry and out of light for short periods. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycling. Once reconstituted, peptide solutions are generally less stable than the dry powder; published rodent studies dissolved BPC-157 in saline without a carrier (PMID 14554208).

Is BPC-157 for human use?

No. BPC-157 is supplied strictly for in-vitro and preclinical laboratory research. It is not approved by Health Canada, the FDA or the EMA, a 2025 systematic review found no clinical safety data (PMID 40756949), and its use is prohibited in professional sport. Nothing on this page is medical, dosing or administration advice.
